"It's nearly impossible to describe this podcast. It's much more than a mere impersonation of some iconic stars of stage and screen - it's an art form all its own."
Robert Bullen, The Huffington Post
"JudyCast isn't just a podcast. It's a breathtaking, hilarious, and mindbending, post-modern, work of art."
Jonathan Tolins, Playwright and Screenwriter
"As good as it gets! Love it. Need it. Devoted. Genius!"

"SHARP, WONDERFULLY DETAILED, CLEVER, FUN, EXPERIMENTAL, ARTISTIC, CHALLENGING. JUDY'S WIT, SINCERITY AND VULNERABILITY ARE PLACED IN A WACKY SURREALISTIC CONTEXT THAT IS EDGY BUT NEVER CRUEL."
CHARLES BUSCH, ACTOR/PLAYWRIGHT/DRAG LEGEND
"JudyCast is a work of art. As original, inimitable, and unpredictable as Judy herself. For over a decade, it's lost none of its power to surprise and delight."
CHARLES BUSCH, Actor, Playwright, Screenwriter,
Director, Drag Legend
"The reference level is so high and obscure, it will make you feel like it was recorded just for you and the members of the Oak Room Roundtable in your mind."
"JUDYCAST isn't just a podcast. It's a breathtaking, hilarious, and mindbending modern work of art that keeps a precious universe of gay pop culture alive. Each episode has more allusions than T.S. Eliot dared in The Waste Land and it's a lot more fun to pick apart."
JONATHAN TOLINS, Playwright/Screenwriter,
BUYER & CELLAR, THE LAST SUNDAY IN JUNE
"When I think that one person voices all of these living, breathing thinking, feeling people, I admit I get a bit overwhelmed. Every time I listen to JudyCast, I'm swept into an alternate reality and want to stay there. Nothing short of (pardon the pun) genius."
GREGORY J. POLCYN, Creator, Barbra by Halstead, Original Member, The Groundlings
BILL PHAIR is the creator of JUDYCAST (subtitled The Entertainment Beat with Frances Gumm). He is also the sole performer, editor, producer, and everything else of the podcast. Take that, Streisand. It's impossible to describe what the show is, exactly. A variety show, an audio puppet show, Hollywood and Broadway icons on a surreal playdate; there's never any set formula or structure. Hosted by Judy Garland and co-hosted by her devoted friend, Roger Darling, JUDYCAST continues to be a tough nut to crack. But hopefully, a funny one.
Bill began JUDYCAST in December of 2005. When it began, iTunes listed 2,500 shows in their podcast directory. Today, that number has risen to a whopping 250,000. The landscape hasn't just changed, it's exploded. Keep in mind that social media was also in its infancy back in 2005. YouTube had been around a scant nine months, Facebook had barely entered Harvard a year earlier, and Twitter hadn't yet hatched. To paraphrase Carrie Fisher, a pound sign was a hashtag biding its time. Suffice it to say, finding a podcast then was half the fun. Word of mouth was key, and podcasts were secret, underground clubs waiting to be unearthed. JUDYCAST hopes to keep that same feeling today.
Bill lives in New York with his partner and enjoys sleuthing, cookies, Barbara Stanwyck movies, cookies, Barbra Streisand, cookies, Barbara Cook albums, and more cookies.
